Hey there!
I am so blessed to have such an incredibly inspiring lil' sis. Jessi, thanks for letting me say a few words on your blog. Oh, memory lane is jam-packed and there's so much I could say.... Nevertheless...alas. I will be a good guest and keep it brief.
Jess- I love the way you reach out into the world your joyful, fluttering wings of optimism in 'The Hummingbird Memoirs.' You amaze me.
Last year I released an album titled "Born Brave." It's primarily for us girls, eh hem, women. I wrote on many different personal themes to help strengthen women. I'll share one of them with you today~
Because I have close family and friends that have shouldered the road to adoption, for one reason or another, I was compelled to dive into their heartbreak; seeking some form of reconcilliation, solace and understanding that overarches the struggles and blessings in their unique, brave path to Motherhood. Being on the other end of the phone with a friend or sister who is in the middle of a misscarriage, or in the many steps of adoption, or loss with children in any way provoked me to want to create a comfort in the only way I knew how.
Jessi has let me share with you one of my favorite songs I wrote on the album called "What's Mine is Yours." We just released the video.
I hope it touches your heart.
